Today, Kalixa Accept is a complete, end-to-end payment service that helps businesses to make and receive payments online globally. It services merchants in 28 countries in Europe offering a robust technical solution that allows it to operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, safely, securely and continuously.

  • 2001

    Began as an internal payment department of our parent company bwin.party.
    Tasked with shaping the payment platform, which enabled bwin customers to pay and play. Identified that a large online platform could help change the way people pay online.

  • 2005

    Started preparing our payment platform to function as a technical gateway, offering merchants the link to a number of acquirers and payment providers.

  • 2006

    Vincento was founded with the objective of entering the European prepaid market.
    Started operating in the B2B arena by processing payments for seven Ongame operators.

  • 2007

    CQR (now Kalixa) was founded. To become a successful payment provider, we set up a new IT infrastructure and acquired PCI Level I certification.

  • 2008

    Vincento acquired E-Money licence from the Financial Service Authority in the UK and became a Principal Member of MasterCard (Issuing Licence).
    CQR started processing payments for the first non-gaming merchant on our payment platform.
    CQR obtained principal membership with Visa and MasterCard.

  • 2010

    Merchants rose to 300.
    Processed 34 million transactions with a value of €2 billion. Now more than 100 employees, with offices in London and Vienna.
    New MasterCard Europe SEPA Licence, allowed fast-track issuing of Kalixa card across the Single European Payments Area, covering 32 countries.

  • 2013

    Company renamed and restructured as Kalixa – with a vision of making our customers’ lives easier when making and accepting payments – whether consumers or merchants.

  • 2014

    Kalixa acquires PXP Solutions, a privately-owned company with a 27-year track record in the card payment processing sector. The acquisition extends Kalixa’s target market to more than 100 countries globally.
